Google unveiled its first GPS navigation application for Android (Droid) phone

Today Google released a new turn-by-turn GPS navigation application which is set to make its debut with the new Android 2.0 platform for mobile devices. The application is completely free and for sure will be a very strong competitor for paid navigation solutions from Navigon, TomTom, CoPilot, MapQuest,  Sygic Mobile etc which may be at an immediate disadvantage.
