TeleNav Launches HTML5 Mobile GPS App For Turn-By-Turn GPS Navigation

Mobile turn-by-turn GPS navigation will come to HTML5-capable mobile browsers

TeleNav, a well-known GPS software development company, has announce its browser-based HTML5 mobile app that provides voice-powered turn-by-turn driving directions on almost any smartphone or other mobile device.

TeleNav has been providing the turn-by-turn solutions to both most popular mobile platforms, iOS and Android, for several years yet. But now, the company adds a lot of new, very useful features to its GPS software: from personalized route planning to offline access to the maps with driving directions. The current plans of TeleNav are to allow its navigation service for any HTML5-powered web browser.  As for now, this new service is available for a group of select website and  mobile app developers, who are able to use TeleNav’s voice-guided GPS directions just by inserting a single line of code into their applications.

The new TeleNav app also features many of the same basic features as its native counterpart solution such as voice prompts, 3D maps, and automatic re-routing. TeleNav also announced that their new service is expected to be released for consumers and all other developers very soon and will be completely free.
