Beidou Satellite Achieves Geosynchronous Orbit
The first Beidou satellite (also known as Compass satellite) which is a part of Chinese navigation system Beidou has achieved geosynchronous orbit. The satellite was launched on July 31 in Chinese Sichuan province from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center.
