Children GPS tracking devices
Thousands of children go missing in the world every year. Some of them are recovered safe, thanks to police and help of the community. Others, however, are not so lucky…
Many tech companies are developing children GPS tracking devices, usually called child GPS locator or child GPS tracker, that allow parents make children considerably safer in today’s dangerous world.
Child GPS locator
A child GPS locator usually uses both GPS and biometric technology which enable parents to monitor the location and well being of their child at the same time. Devices are incorporated in small wrist bands, tiny cases or pins and possess a microchip that is able to send GPS signals. The signals are then accessed by any Internet-able device, such as a computer or a cell phone, and screens a child’s location on a map.
Biometric and GPS tracking for children
The biometric options of a child
GPS tracker allow parents to monitor child’s medical condition, including heart rate, stress level and temperature. If something goes wrong the parent would receive an alert. The biometric feature also allows parents to be ensured that the child continues to wear/have the tracking device. In addition some models may be equipped with a “panic button” which means the child can alert his or her parent in case of a danger or health problem.
